Character Biographies.

Post  Ratchet00 on Mon Jun 07, 2010 6:02 pm

Callsign: Ratchet
Real Name: Stevens, Zachary.
Rank: Major
Age: 27 Years.
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 190 LBS of "sheer death and destruction."
Specialties: Improvised field medicine, advanced hand-to-hand combat, exemplary leadership skills, advanced squad tactics.
Years in military: 9
Years in Special Tactics Squad: 3
Years until retirement: "I'll retire when the world stops needing soldiers."
Assault Weapon of choice: M6A2 SRT.
Sniper Rifle of choice: M24A3.
Handgun of choice:Glock 23 .40 caliber with stainless steel slide.

I entered into the military when I was 17 years old. I was sick and tired of all the injustice I was witnessing in the world and thought the Army would be the place for me. During my Basic Training I took courses in advanced marksmanship and field medicine, alongside my friend and future squad mate, Chunk. After completing my training, I was shipped off to Afghanistan to serve as field medic in the 306th battalion. Within the first 6 months of serving in the 306th, I was promoted to Sergeant and put in charge of a small, 3 man squad who's job was to recover wounded soldiers from behind enemy lines.

We completed 25 missions over 4 years before the higher ups decided our skills were best utilized elsewhere. They sent one of my men home to train new recruits in field medicine, another to the 206th battalion to assist with an increasing amount of casualties, and the final to a MASH where he was to be promoted to Lieutenant and trained to become a field surgeon... His Humvee hit a roadside bomb before he ever reached the MASH.

I served in the 306th for another year before I was approached by Colonel who went by the callsign "Jayccarl." He approached me with an offer to head up the Special Tactics Squad, a group of elite soldiers who would deal with "sensitive" issues that the American government might not approve of. I accepted the job and was immediately thrown into a rigorous training regiment in order to get in shape for my new position as the Captain of STS Alpha Squad. After a long and difficult two years of training, I was finally finished. I was promoted to the rank of Captain and was awarded a Glock 23 with "STS" engraved in its stainless steel slide, a personal gift from Jay.

After completing my training, I was given a list of 100 soldiers, all who met the requirements for becoming a part of STS Alpha Squad. I was told to pick four, and only four, soldiers who I would both train and lead. I sat down and read the dossier of every soldier on the list.

"#32, Callsign: AlphaFox. Shows exemplary bravery, skill with sub-machine guns and a variety of sniper rifles, and loyalty to his commanders. Has a problem with authority, taking orders, and being shot at. Possibly insane." I do enjoy a challenge.

"#45, Callsign: Coopler. Shows skill with Assault Rifles, semi-automatic sniper rifles, and field medicine. Loyal to his commander, will carry out any orders handed to him. Has been known to forget where he is during firefights." Hello #2.

"#68, Callsign: Warshod. New recruit, shows great potential with sub-machine guns and grenades. Training may be required." He'll do just fine.

"#75, Callsign: Chunk. Great skill in piloting helicopters of any kind, field medicine, and --" I found my fourth.

After assembling my team, we began training together. We trained for a year straight before being shipped off to our first assignment.

We were to provide security at a secret military base in the Canadian mountains codenamed "Snow Valley." We were put on a plane in the middle of the night with nothing more than our gear and a folder telling us "All we needed to know." Little did we know just what we were getting into...

Callsign: Coopler
Real Name: Rehn, Cooper.
Rank: Master Sergeant
Age: 21 Years.
Height: 6'6"
Weight: 210 LBS
Specialties: Assault rifles, pistols, tactical and precise shooting, first aid and triage, semi-automatic and bolt action rifles, the workings of almost any weapon
Years in military: 3
Years in Special Tactics Squad: 3
Years until retirement: Whenever God says "enough".
Assault Weapon of choice: M416 CQB.
Sniper Rifle of choice: SR-25, custom built .338 caliber
Handgun of choice: .45 caliber Colt Magnum revolver.

Growing up, I always showed an interest in weapons. Especially ones that went boom. I wanted to know how everything worked, and rifles were no exception. I killed my first deer at 13, dropped it immediately with one shot. By 15 I had worked up the perfect round for my dad's .243 rifle. I had always aspired to fly an air-to-air fighter as a boy, but my asthma crushed that dream early on. When I graduated high school at 17, I had rough plans for a from-scratch custom rifle, .338 caliber, chambered for a magnum. The U.S. Army became intrigued with the plans, and I enrolled in West Point, where I finished my in-depth physics studies and worked on the rifle while I was being trained in assault rifles and the like. After a year there, I had proven skilled in assault rifles and my understanding of ballistics and the like. They were also unable to convince me that there were more advanced and useful weapons than a modified revolver, reminiscent of the old Westerns. With a little tweaking of the double action, I proved them wrong. I haven't set that pistol down lest to sleep since.

I was able to graduate early - very early - and I was soon being asked to pack up my things.

At 18, they shipped me off to Afghanistan, a graduate coming out of school at staff sergeant, where I was able to find a good gunsmith to make me prototypes while I was assigned to a tactics team as the weapons expert. After less than a month and at most 10 missions, I was approached by my superior. I was informed I was to be promoted to Sergeant First Class and reassigned to a Special Tactics Squad in a week. With only basic training and very little experience on the field, I guess my smarts and statistics got me moved. I wasn't too worried (if only I had known...). On my turbulent plane ride to Northern Canada, I read over a packet containing info on the other four members of this apparently elite squad. I was to report to a man by the callsign of "Ratchet". On the long ride there, I also toyed with the only prototype I was able to have gotten made. I made sure to talk to command as soon as I had the final plans ready.

Over the next year, I spent every day in rigorous training with my squad mates. We had a great kinship and camaraderie. I had no time to work on my weapon, and it ended up in an obscure pocket somewhere as my days were now spent studying precise squad tactics or in the field practicing either them or weapon mastery. Turns out our first mission wasn't too far from where we were training. Before we knew it, we were on a train bound for the Canadian 'mountains', our backpacks and a cryptic folder all we had for company.[img][/img]

Post  }CoG{Chao§onic on Mon Jun 07, 2010 10:21 pm

Callsign: Chao§
Real name is confidential
Rank: Commander in Chief of undercover anti-terrorist squad.
Age:19-21 years (orphaned so unsure, ((and no, the character, not me =P)) )
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 190 pounds.
Specialities: Stealth Oriented Combat, Martial Arts, Long-Range Marksmanship, small piloting skills, and making music.
Years in Combat: *confidential*
Years until Retirement: When the price of .50 bullets go outrageously high.
Sniper Rifles of Choice: M40A3, M24A3, and M200 (Intervention)
Handgun of Choice: USP .45 silenced.

As a boy had a desire to fly. Before then, worked on utilizing anything as a weapon, and how to knock out/kill a man with bare hands or cold steel. Started flight school on a private airfield in Bowie, Maryland, and by around 11 years managed to fly straight. At 9/11 several planes were hijacked, and Chao§ managed to kill the hijacker who was attempting to take his plane and smash it into an unknown target, but as the hijacker disabled radio communications, Chao§ had to find a place to land where he wouldn't be shot down. Chao§ landed in a potato field near a farm which actually contained a base containing a powerful anti-terrorist squad. Unable to be released due to giving away secrets, Chao§ agreed to train and work for the squad. Later he became the leader, working in numerous missions around the world.

The Special Ops organization has numerous contacts with several government agencies and runs underground. Chao§ once had a chance to work with Third Echelon and once fought alongside Sam Fisher himself. The group had managed to run several bases, including
one in Quebec that some nerds think of as the HQ or the Aerican Empire (google it, very funny), but is really the brain of the organization.

Chao§ was given the opportunity to infiltrate several special forces organizations around the world, including reducing corruption in the British S.A.S., giving secrets of the Russian government to the U.S. government (that Russia was not intending to nuke U.S., silly nuke children), and foiling terrorist plots in Afghanistan. Eventually the squad established a HQ in an old bunker in Russia, and their ranks grew from 20 men to 120 with several vehicles and double-agents from C.I.A., Spetsnaz, S.A.S., and other organizations.

Chao§ was later captured during a mission where he went in solo, but escaped. Now there are several mercenary forces looking for him near Roadkill, where he is doing small mercenary jobs until he can get enough of his own funds to stealthily escape back to the HQ where he can be safe. As of now, his only weapons which he uses that he ripped out of enemy soldier's hands are an M24A3 and a USP with a silencer. His latest mercenary assignment was to provide sniper cover for a shipment which was attacked by terrorists. He is currently fending off enemy troops preventing them from touching the shipment.
