Thrice "In Exile"

Hey guys, a band that Christina and I really, really like is Thrice. They have so much talent!...you'll just have to listen to them to know what I mean.

Anyway, here's a music video for a song by them called "In Exile." Even though they aren't a Christian band, the lead singer and his brother (also in the band) are Christians, so they often get by with Christian-themed music in the mainstream media. I honestly believe that more thought-provoking spiritual songs come from these guys than from the vast majority of praise and worship bands. Check it out!

I agree, Jay. The complexity of their lyrics, mingled with their musical ability makes Thrice probably one of the best post-hardcore type bands I have ever heard. You really have to think on some of their songs to understand what is actually being conveyed...and even then there is some ambiguity and several levels of interpretation which I, personally, love. Check them out if you don't know them! Oh, by the way, the play songs that sound like everything from screamo to pop to alt-country to some kind of weird, modern CCR throwback. So, if you like any of those types of sounds, you will probably find a Thrice song you like

Yea, they're awesome man. Their new CD Beggers is Class A good stuff. Definitely worth a pick up!

a couple of weeks ago my local Christian rock station started playing "In Exile"

on a side note, I just remembered that quite a bit ago, they also were playing "Image of the Invisible"

Try listening to Of Dust and Nations Coopler. Thrice is a really awesome band and all their songs are pretty good

I bought Christina two tickets to their concert that is coming up in St. Louis soon! It's part of her birthday present, and we are super excited to see them live!
